Nominate: Business of year, citizen of year and volunteer of year | Community Spirit

Winnsboro’s Town Council would like to recognize an outstanding Winnsboro Business.  The council is asking residents who feels that there is a business that deserves to be recognized by the town to please submit an application.  Winnsboro is comprised of many small Businesses whose commitment to Winnsboro makes our community a great place to live, work and visit.

A search is underway to identify a business for the 2012 Winnsboro’s Business of the Year Award. Your help is requested with this search. The purpose of this award is to honor the Business that is an asset to the Town of Winnsboro.

Town Council members will decide the winning application.  The Business selected will receive a Business of the Year award and a $50.00 local Gift Card. Town council will present the award during a council meeting.

ELIGIBILITY 

The business must have been in operations during the 2012-year. The business must have a store location within the town limits. The business must be a for-profit operation.

• January 18, 2013– February 11, 2013 Application available
• February 11, 2013  –Application deadline
• March 5, 2013 – Town Council meeting—Award presentation

Winnsboro’s Town Council would like to recognize an outstanding Winnsboro Citizen.  The council is asking anyone who knows of an outstanding person in the community who deserves to be recognized by the town to please submit an application.  Winnsboro is comprised of many talented individuals whose skills and commitment to Winnsboro makes our community a great place to live, work and visit.

A search is underway to identify candidates for the 2012 Winnsboro’s Citizen of the Year Award. Your help is requested with this search. The purpose of this award is to honor a citizen of the community who by their actions has shown themselves to be an asset to the Town of Winnsboro.

Town Council members will decide the winning application.  The Citizen selected will receive a Citizen of the Year award and a $50.00 local Gift Card. Town council will present the award during a council meeting.

ELIGIBILITY 

The nominee must reside within the Town limits. The person should be nominated for something that was done during the 2012 calendar year. Have made a commitment of personal time that directly benefited Winnsboro. Contributed significantly and consistently to advance the Town of Winnsboro.
