Animal lovers’ organization accepting applications for members | Events

Animal lovers in Fairfield County have created a volunteer organization that works to improve animal welfare in Fairfield County called The Hoof and Paw Benevolent Society.

The recently formed organization is now accepting applications for memberships.

“Hoof and Paw members create opportunities to help animals in the Fairfield County Animal Adoption Shelter and in our community,” said the Presidentof the The Hoof and Paw Benevolent Society Shirley Locklair. “We support and sponsor adoption events, foster rescued and abused animals. We are advocates for all animals. Our members decide and drive the direction of the organization. If a problem or a need for an animal is brought to our attention, we will strive to implement positive change for that animal.”

Fellow Chamber of Commerce Members are invited to join the monthly business meetings which are held the first Monday of each month, 6:30pm at the First United Methodist Church located across from the Winnsboro Post Office.
